Josie & Tony's is a long deserved curtain call for Josh, who considers the dining experience to be a theatrical performance (and puts on a damn good show). His unique approach combined with practiced management chops, deep industry relationships, a fervent fan following, and an unmatched passion for creating a memorable dining experience, is what makes the story of Josie & Tony's Italian Deli and Supper Club so enticing.

Chef Marcelo has made his career perfecting a modern take on Italian cuisine, having spent 25 years working under Joe Bruno, owner of the revered Pasta Nostra (formerly located in the J&T's space). His intimate knowledge of the kitchen, tremendous talent in crafting unique interpretations of beloved classics, and deep appreciation for his customers puts him at the center of J&T's ambitious goal to become the most sought after dining experience in Fairfield County.

Favorite J&T's dish: Grilled Ribeye Pizzaiola

Assistant General Manager / Sommelier

Thomas (Tee) DeBow

Thomas found his passion for hospitality early, eventually honing his focus on wine. He’s currently pursuing his WSET Level 3 Sommelier certification with plans to enter the Diploma program. At Sails American Grill in Rowayton, he helped elevate the wine program and earned recognition for his refined service. With extensive catering experience both locally and on Nantucket, Thomas joined Josie & Tony’s to work with one of Connecticut’s top wine lists, quickly advancing to Assistant General Manager.

Emily Sackett

A reformed corporate marketer turned interior designer and self-proclaimed caesar salad aficionado, Emily brings equal parts creativity and execution to the J&T's team. Emily has always been fascinated by disruptive hospitality concepts and believes in the magic of marrying a strong point of view with a bold product offering. From sourcing the tile and antique mirror that adorn the bar, to hand sketching the logo, to negotiating the Piano rental, Emily has had her hands in it all. Special shout out to her husband, Nick, who is a master start-up advisor / budgeting wizard / wine junkie and also moonlights as her very handsome assistant.

Favorite J&T's dish: Josie's Lemon Chicken.

Katherine Sullivan

Team shrink, server, events coordinator, project manager, occasional bar tender, and our resident chaos coordinator, Kat wears many many hats for Josie & Tony’s. Kat’s extensive travel and nearly 15 years of experience in the restaurant industry have fostered a passion for great food, great wine, and wonderful people. Give her a call for a reservation, to plan your anniversary party, or just to vent about a rough week at work, she’s always happy to lend anear.

Nathan Struharik

Nathan cut his teeth in craft cocktail bars of Columbus, Ohio. He has been with Josie & Tony’s since opening day and was recently promoted to the role of head bartender. Come visit Nathan for the best Sazerac in town, not to mention his midwestern charm and calming demeanor.

Favorite J&T’s drink: L.I.I.T.O.G.O. (Our take on a Long Island Iced Tea)

Built on owner Josh Mesnik's memories of frequenting old school, red sauce joints with his family - the types of restaurants where the Maître d' knew your name and your drink order. Celebrating the decadence and theatricality of the Manhattan restaurant scene of the early 90s where Josh cut his teeth in the front of house. Mixed together in a big ol' sauce pot, Josie and Tony's is a modern fantasy reminiscent of a timeless classic.
